Sometimes you just have to take flight.

A summer in New Orleans is exactly what Allie needs before starting college. Accepting her dad’s invitation to work at his hotel offers an escape from her ex-boyfriend and the chance to spend the summer with her best friend. Meeting a guy is the last thing on her mind—until she sees Levi.

Unable to resist the infuriating yet alluring Levi, Allie finds herself at the center of a supernatural society and forced to decide between following the path she has always trusted or saving a city that might just save her.

My Thoughts:

Once I started reading Flight, I had a hard time setting it down. Alyssa Rose Ivy did a great job creating something completely different, I don’t think I’ve read anything else like Flight before.

I enjoyed pretty much everything about this book, I think the only issue I had with it was Levi’s character and that’s because he made me so mad! He was always acting like a jerk! Allie on the other hand, was cool. I like how she stood up to Levi, how she never took any of his crap. I think that’s what made her a good match for Levi, because she was exactly the type of girl he needed.

My favorite aspect of this story was definitely the New Orleans setting. I’ve never been to New Orleans, but after reading this book I’m dying to go there and check this place out. It sounded like a really fun place to be!

Overall, I thought Flight was an enjoyable read! It had a great storyline and I can’t wait to read book #2 to see how it continues!

My Rating:

4/5 Stars
