{Book Review} Matt Archer: Monster Hunter by Kendra C. Highley

Matt Archer: Monster Hunter by Kendra C. Highley
Genre: Young Adult Paranormal – Release Date: Oct. 19, 2012
Matt Archer, an ordinary freshman living in Montana, discovers something unusual on a camping trip with his uncle. Monsters are real. And living in his backyard.

But that’s not the half of it…throw in a mystical knife, a covert military unit of soldiers dedicated to eliminating walking nightmares, and a prophecy about a dark war, and Matt finds himself in a job he never imagined: monster hunter.

All this insanity will leave him wondering which is tougher–killing monsters, or asking Ella Mitchell for a date.

My Thoughts:
Matt Archer: Monster Hunter was an all around great book! I was hooked from the very beginning. Not only did it have a good storyline, but it was also fast paced and it had just enough action.

I adored the main character, Matt Archer. He was so cute and funny! I really liked that this story was told from his point of view. It has been awhile since I have read a novel that was told from a male’s pov and I had forgotten how much I liked reading those kind of stories. It’s always a great change of pace.

I was really impressed with this novel. I thought it was well written and was just a really fun read. Kendra C. Highley has a new fan, I will definitely be checking out more of her work!

My Rating:

5/5 Stars
